In Uruguay, a comprehensive database for science journalism is recognized
The Uruguayan web portal Timbó, produced by the country’s National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), was recently recognized by the Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean (FRIDA).
Via Uruguay’s El País Digital:

The distinction was obtained in the Innovation category, which covers the “initiatives that have introduced technical innovations in relation to the development of the Internet”, according to FRIDA’s website.

FJP: Timbó provides universal access to international scientific and technological literature and patent banks. Hence, a big necessary push for in-depth science journalism in Latin America.
